Lavandula Augustifolia ‘Hidcote’ is a bushy dwarf evergreen shrub with narrow, silvery-grey leaves and small deep violet-purple flowers in dense, aromatic spikes 3-4cm in length. Potted up in a handsome 15cm high reconstituted stone planter with a terracotta-style finish which can be re-used once the lavender has flowered & is planted out into the garden at the end of the season.
Grown by us here in Hertfordshire, our lovely Lavender plants have just begun to flower! If placed in the sun, they will continue to flower right up to November. ‘Hidcote’ is the most floriferous of the compact lavenders, reliable to grow and rich in pollen for pollinators. It is a true lavender and historically cultivated for its oil and dried flowers. Lavender flowers are edible. Perfect for baking such as Lavender Shortbread, making Lavender-scented sugar and adding to Herbes de Provence. They can be brought indoors or left outside and are perfect for the kitchen table, on a sunny balcony or in the garden.
All our potted plants are accompanied with detailed care instructions and packed up carefully in compostable boxes with straw and shipped with an overnight courier service. They make lovely gifts and come with a personalised gift card and the option of our hand blocked ‘sari’ wrapping paper and velvet ribbon.
Kindly note we no longer ship to NI and deliveries to Channel islands and Scottish Highlands we use a different shipping rate and couriers. Please choose this option when checking out.
