I love to bring a sense of belonging and continuity to all my projects and to create beautiful pieces which are both timeless and functional.

Influenced by my artist parents who had a deep love of  gardening and history, I became bewitched by an old crystal bowl filled with bleached coral and paperwhite bulbs many years ago and so began my fascination with potted plants.

I am able to bring together my passion for economic history, horticulture and beautiful interiors into one adventure creating unique potted plants and consider myself to be a very lucky person to be surrounded by so much. ​

 

After studying at the University of Cape Town, I worked  in urban regeneration and moved back to London in the late 1980's joining Sheppard Robson Architects. With a growing passion for historic landscapes which I'd discovered exploring old dockyards and crumbling canals,  I studied garden design under John Brooks at RBG Kew and then  joined Elizabeth Banks & Assoc where I assisted Tom Stuart-Smith and Todd Longstaffe-Gowan

After many years in the corporate world working in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East, I launched a small online shop during Lockdown selling potted lavender from our allotment in old clay terracotta pots. We soon expanded into a variety of design projects from country gardens to Mayfair street boxes and since then we've hand-planted over 2,500 potted plants!

We work out our 17th century barn just outside Henley-on-Thames and we always love meeting our customers and clients.
