Although very much a forward-looking person who is driven by curiousty,  I  love bringing a sense of continuity and belonging to all my projects, big and small.

I began my career working in urban regeneration with Sheppard Robson Architects and went on to study garden design with John Brooks at the RBG Kew. I worked on historical garden restoration and estate management  projects with Elizabeth Banks working on some significant gardens including the Longleat estate.  I was assistant to Tom Stuart-Smith,and Todd Longstaffe-Gowan. and worked with various landscape practises across the South East.

 

I was in the corporate world for many years, have lived and gardened in England, Africa and the Caribbean, and started The English Potted Plant Co. during lockdown as an online business selling allotment-grown lavender in vintage terracotta pots. 

 

Since then we have undertaken a wide range of projects from large country gardens to Mayfair street boxes, large interior installations to suburban gardens. ​A list of some of our projects can be found here.
