A little bit about us

I began my career working in urban regeneration with Sheppard Robson Architects and worked on large projects in London Docklands, the Lea Valley, Liverpool and Birmingham. I went on to study garden design with John Brooks at the RBG Kew and became assistant to Tom Stuart-Smith and Todd Longstaffe-Gowan at Elizabeth Banks & Associates before starting out on my own.
We lived in Africa and the Carribean for 15 years and I worked in the corporate world before returning to my first love of plants and flowers. I set up a social enterprise micro flower farm in Kwazulu Natal whilst our boys were at boarding school there, and grew old English roses for weddings. Since 2019 we have been based in Hertfordshire and in 2020 I set up our vintage potted plant shop, during Lockdown.
Although very much a forward-looking person, I'm inspired by tradition and its impact on our lives by bringing continuity and a sense of belonging. I particulalry love the way everyday artisanal products are universal and how landscapes evolve with each generation.. .
