Fascinating history here about the Burgess and Leigh pottery of Burslem which continues to manufacture to this day: "We have been making our iconic blue and white ceramics, using the same techniques for generations. We are the last pottery in the world to use the traditional and timeless skill of underglaze tissue printing, which is an English process dating back over 200 years". In 2011 the King stepped in to help with emergency repair works needed at Middleport Pottery – his charity, HRH The Princes Regeneration Trust, offered the support that we needed to keep production going.
Planted up with white hyacinths which will flower in about mid December and hopefully continue over Christmas. All our plants are accompanied with detailed care instructions. They're packed up carefully in compostable boxes packed with recycled packaging and straw and and couriered overnight.
Our potted plants make such memorable presents. Each box comes with a personalised gift card and the option of our Cambridge Imprint wrapping paper and vintage velvet ribbon.
Nothing is single use - the tureen is multiple purpose and can be used for its original purpose or as a planter. and the hyacinths can be planted outdoors at the end of its flowering for next season.
