An exceptional Early Victorian/Georgian ironstone urn with blue and white transferware pattern of pastoral scenes, flower groups and scrolls. It has a lovely scalloped edge, scalloped bowl stem and foot and ornate handles and is in very good condition. Judging by the mark, we believe this to be made by Elija Jones potteries in the early 19th century and is part of the Elijah Mayer illustrated ' Illustrations from the Bible' and part of the Palestine series - as this urn is called 'Moses' and is marked 'Stone'. However we have a fraction of doubt about this as the mark is not entireley the same and it could also be a reprodcution made at the same time, which makes it of similar value.

Planted with N Paperwhites which which flower over Christmas with their gorgeous scent and pretty froth of white flowers.  All our potted plants come with detailed care instructions. The bulbs can be composted as Paperwhites do not flower again but the magnificent urn can be used again for multiple purposes and makes a fabulous centrpeiece -the perfect sustainable way to to have scented flowers in your home during winter and nothing single-use about any element!
Our potted plants also make the perfect Christmas gift to send someone and they come gift-wrapped with ribbon and a personalised Christmas card carefully packed up in our compostable recycled straw boxes and shipped overnight with Royal Mail Tracked 24 throughout the UK.
