Classic Minton tureen with pretty transfer ware pattern featuring the classic Minton-style handles. The back mark dates this tureen to 1912.  Minton was established in 1796 and became Spode's nearest rival. It was famous for its elegant bone china and was regarded as comparable to French Sèvres, by which it was greatly influenced.  It was the most popular supply source in the 19th century of dinnerware made to order for embassies and for heads of state and the name continues to the present day as part of the Waterford, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton Group.

Planted generously with Primula 'vulgare'or common primroses, they will flower for many weeks and will be able to be planted out at the end of their flowering season to came back again next year.
