An vintage Whieldon Ware F. Winkle & Co "Zeeland" pattern tureen c1925-31 planted up with white hyacinth bulbs and natural moss. The tureen is in remarkably good condition for it's age, with some crazing, grit marks and a tiny bit of discolouration. Measuring approximately 7.5cm in height with the rim diameter being 20cm.

Winkle and Wood started producing English earthenware in 1885 at the Pearl pottery works in Hanley. Through a series of owners, including Ridgeways, the brand was produced between 1885 and 2000 when the last of the pottery factory was demolished. Whieldon ware was a brand produced for the English and export markets in the late 19th and early 20th Century in what was known as 'colonial pottery'.

The hyacinths will begin flowering in a couple of weeks and will flower for weeks, scenting your whole home. They can be planted out again into the garden to flower again next season.

All our plants are accompanied with detailed care instructions and are packed up carefully in compostable recycled boxes packed with recycled packaging and straw and shipped with an overnight courier service.

Our potted plants make lovely sustainable gifts as nothing is single use. Each poted plant comes with a personalised gift card and the option of our Cambridge Imprint wrapping paper and vintage velvet ribbon.
