Muehlenbeckia axillaris is an uncommon garden plant that can grow equally well as a houseplant, in an outdoor container, or as a mat-forming ground cover twining plant originating in Australia and New Zealand. A semi-evergreen plant, the small, dark-green leaves and reddish or brownish stems remain attractive throughout winter although sparse but as the weather starts to warm up, tiny white flowers will appear in the late spring along with new growth.

Potted up in a vintage marked Sankey bowl c1940 with 6" diameter.

All our plants are accompanied with detailed care instructions and are packed up carefully in compostable recycled boxes packed with straw and shipped with an overnight courier service.

Our potted plants make lovely sustainable gifts as nothing is single use or thrown away - the bowl can be used for multiple purposes and the geranium can be re- planted outdoors or into a bigger pot if necessary. Each pot comes with a personalised gift card and the option of our Cambridge Imprint wrapping paper and vintage velvet ribbon.
