Very pretty Tuscan Ware tea slops bowl pattern number is 9663A.  Decorated with hand-painted floral sprays in enamels which stand proud of the surface.  Colours used are red, blue, yellow, pink, black and green on a cream base.  This fabulous item was produced during the Art Deco period by Tuscan China, the brand name of R.H. and S.L. Plant, which worked out of the Tuscan Works, Longton, from 1898 - one of the Staffordshire potteries.   Although not marked as such, they were sold by the Leeds shop J.H. Awmack, which was located at The Headrow and which specialised in glass and china.

 

We've planted up to try an match the pretty design of hollyhocks, ivy and other exhuberant summer flowers with bright coloured Cyclamen Coum, English Bluebells and tete a tete - all in early bud and will flower for weeks. Once flowering has finished can be planted out into the garden for next season.
