An unusual and delicately shaped ironstone transferware bowl in the ‘Rhein’ pattern produced in Staffordshire by pottery house Woolf (often associated with 19th-century makers like Thomas Woolf or contemporary regional factories).

The pattern features a highly unique combination layout. The background is filled with a dense, vivid cobalt blue chintz consisting of stylized grapevines, leaves, and hanging grape clusters and the small cartouches are styled as scenic windows with European landscape views - reminiscent of the ‘Grand Tours’ possibly? Made circa 1860.

Our potted plants come with carefully researched provenances and detailed plant care instructions. We also offer gift wrap using Cambridge Imprint paper and a handwritten card. Packed very carefully with recycled packaging and shipped overnight with Royal Mail Tracked 24 within 5 working days. Please note we do not ship on Thursday and Fridays to avoid boxes sitting in warehouses over the weekend. Please let us know if your plant has a specific deadline.
