Gorgeous colours in this Ridgways tureen in my favourite blue underglaze ‘fish scales’ transferware diaper patterning inspired by earlier 18th-century Worcester porcelain designs.

The cartouches are filled with hand-painted polychrome enamel floral sprays - in lovely condition - so typical of late Victorian ‘aesthetic movement’ tableware. Elegant moulded, low-profile scroll loop handles on either side, decorated with subtle gold-gilt. that follow the contours of the ceramic. Most likely c1885–1910. A quietly stylish piece.

Planted up with hyacinths and we offer a choice of colours - white, pink & blue - please let us know in the message section which colour you’d like., otherwise we will always default to white.

Our potted plants come with carefully researched provenances and detailed plant care instructions. We also offer gift wrap using Cambridge Imprint paper and a handwritten card. Packed very carefully with recycled packaging and shipped overnight with Royal Mail Tracked 24 within 5 working days. Please note we do not ship on Thursday and Fridays to avoid boxes sitting in warehouses over the weekend. Please let us know if your plant has a specific deadline.
