A lovely and very unusual pair of Imari-patterned stoneware tureen finger bowls in good condition apart from some rubbing on the gilt commensurate with age. No cracks, chips or crazing. Pagoda scenes with charming horses head handles. Transferware with hand-painted details.
Sourced in Japan but made in England. Manufactured between 1850 – 1899. Without a makers mark it is not definitive.
Planted up with white hyacinth bulbs which will flower for a couple of weeks.
