A large Adams Calyx Ware in the Mandalay pattern bowl in excellent condition planted up generously with Helleborus ' Single Red' which is much more of a deep burguny colour and a prolific flowerer.
The Calyx Ware Line was introduced around 1930, "Calyx Ware" and was the trade name fodesign, and continued production under Wedgwood after 1966, often labeled as pattern #HX2767. The pattern was eventually withdrawn, reportedly because its production methods violated air quality rules.
