A very substantial early Victorian Doulton bowl in black willow pattern. Antique Royal Doulton Willow pattern ironstone, particularly in rare color variations like black, represents a highly collectible segment of 19th and early 20th-century British transferware. Very rare Black Willow pieces, sometimes featuring a distinctive mustard or cream background, were produced during 1885–1902.
This bowl is in beautiful condition apart from two hardly visible hairline cracks on the rim and some discolouration inside the bowl, commensayrate with age. It has a lovely 'old gold' coloured rim with blue on the rim and base. It has a slight lustre to it which could have worn off.
We offer gift wrapping with beautiful Cambridge Imprint paper, vintage ribbon and personalised gift card. Full provenance & care notes included. If you have any issues on arrival, please contact me — I’m always happy to help.
