A very sweet pretty antique ironstone loving cup with pink transferware print with blue handpainted details. The botanical pattern of dog roses with miniature violas looks Victorian Aesthetic Movement - so approx 1880-1890's. Has obviously had a a good life and hairline cracks shown.Planted with white hyacinths. Care instructions and the provenance also enclosed.
 
A loving cup is a double-handled mug commonly used at weddings to celebrate the happy couple’s union and to symbolise the pledge they have made to one another.
