An excellent Machin porcelain yellow shell pattern (no 208) slop bowl in very good condition planted with Primula vulgaris / Primroses. This "Yellow Shell" pattern was very popular during the Georgian period and versions were made by Newhall, Machin and Hicks and Meigh with slight variations.
This is a beautiful and popular pattern, c 1805 and we are constantly on the lookout for these bowls. In good over all condition, slight rubbing to pattern interior and minor enamel loss to rim but no chips or cracks or crazing at all.
