Rhodesian decorative copperware, popular from the 1960s to 1970s, featured handcrafted items with mark "Pure Copper mined and made in Rhodesia'. Common pieces included embossed plates, tankards, ashtrays and trays featuring African motifs like elephants, tribal scenes, and the Flame Lily. Much was crafted in Salisbury (Harare). After the armed struggle, Rhodesia became Zimbabwe in 1980 which dates this bowl.
