A charming large French transferware soup tureen produced by the Faïencerie de Badonviller, a highly regarded French manufacturer located in the Meurthe-et-Moselle region of northeastern France. 
 
The pattern is called 'Roses' and the  "T.F." on the makers mark is for Théophile Fenal  In 1897, Théophile Fenal branched out from the family business and founded his own modern pottery factory in Badonviller.  Stamps explicitly using his initials date from the turn of the 20th century. 
 
This pattern design  features heavy botanical arrangements against structured architectural framing lines is typical of the Late Victorian and Art Nouveau aesthetic popular between 1900 and 1915. 
 
Pieces from this specific Théophile Fenal era are typically classified as Terre de Fer (Ironstone). The artichoke finial on the lid remains a stunning hallmark of French earthenware styling from this Belle Époque period.
